Patrick has had a varied ‘career’ having served in the Royal Marines, worked as a physiotherapist in the NHS, and spent over a decade as a tv broadcaster. His sporting background is no less ‘Jack of all trades’ but he did specialise in cross country skiing representing GBR at the 1988 winter Olympics in Calgary.
He moved to Scotland in 1994 and took up sea kayaking shortly afterwards thinking a circumnavigation of Jura would be a good way to start. Surviving that eye opener he has gone on to complete a number of major routes around the Scottish Islands deriving most satisfaction from island hopping tours. He now combines his passion for paddling the west coast with his experience of filming and broadcasting to produce original and genuine travel documentaries. |
